I like StoryMaps and find it quite intuitive and user friendly. That said, it does seem to limit some functionality (at least on a surface level). I tried the infographic feature which I hadn’t used before and it was awkward at best being awkwardly sided and seemingly very inflexible. Accessibility should be considered in terms of images, colors, and text hierarchy. Image rights are also important to keep in mind. From what I can tell, a good StoryMap takes advantage of the medium (multimedia, images, embedded elements), a bad one falls victim to it.
